Oct 13, 1927 Dear Dear Ora: Received your letter last night. Bonnie enjoyed it very much. She sure laughed at Maxine wanting to come back to Bonnie's and go to school. Well I sure wish she was here. I did not hear anything yesterday from Manhattan. I am hoping that no news are good news. It was real cold here last night. I think that there must have been some frost but I did not see it. This is a beautiful morning. Jackson was in yesterday and gave me a nice account of you all. He says he wants to go down Dad's day. Nov. 5 he said. I don't think I can wait that long. In fact if it is still nice weather I think on account of Bonnie that I should bring her down maybe Saturday night. However, I can't tell yet. I am anxious to hear from Ella. If I don't get a message today I am going to wire them. If she stands the operation I am sure that she will come through all right. The people that live in our house have two children – a little girl 7 years old and a little boy about 2 or 3 years old. They seem to be very nice people and they keep things looking clean both outside and inside. If I should be able to come down soon what would you like for me to bring you? Let me know. If it is important to bring it you had better call me Friday night for I might not be here Saturday night when the mail comes in. Don't call until after 8:30 and call for #15 and I will wise Mrs. Sinclair that it is me you want. Daytime costs too much – night is 45 cents. Goodbye, dear sweetheart. Your Boy sure wants you. Madge would be right if it were only possible. However as it now is it is impossible. Well I must catch the mail. Yours, Percy |
