8. Francois DORR, son of Unknown and Unknown .
Francois Dorr was a wealthy man who had his origins in the town of Morhange (Moselle). He was the father of 10 children. Francois' first wife died (the mother of all 10 children) and he married a younger woman with children of her own. When he died (in the mid-1800's), there was a dispute over his inheritance which continued until 1876.
The settlement was delayed due to Napoleon's defeat. It ended up that most of the inheritance was lost to an unscrupulous lawyer.
A Dorr descendant has posted Francois name on a genealogy web dite, which she claims came from Louis' journal.
